I received this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Copy provided by Dreamscape Media.
It’s not the first time Edith’s husband, Joe, has lied to her. But it will be the last. When she finds photos of a mysterious woman on her husband’s phone, the heartbreaking implications are all too familiar, and Edith sets out to discover her identity. What starts as a desperate search for answers quickly becomes a terrifying spiral of obsession and subterfuge. With each new secret uncovered about her life, her marriage, and the man she loves, Edith is left with even more questions. Refusing to accept Joe's lies any longer, Edith soon finds herself living a double life, telling lies and keeping secrets of her own. When she uncovers a final piece of the puzzle, something darker and more gut-wrenching than even she could’ve anticipated, Edith is forced to make a choice about the future of her marriage. The truth always comes at a price. Sometimes, that price is your life.
This was a roller coaster of a read! The beginning and middle was a constant build of speed and was just boring for me. I kept debating if I should just keep reading or stop. I am so glad I didn't give up since it just got better with so many twist and you are blindsided with reveal after reveal. The plot was complex, detailed, and just unbelievable. Edith is definitely a woman you can relate to and root for. Joe is one person you will love to hate as he is a lying, cheating, selfish jerk! Tell Me the Truth keeps the questions coming until the very end. If you're into psychological thriller type of reader, you should add this to your TBR!

This book was the definition of petty and I liked it. The twists were good but honestly it was just okay. I wasn’t excited and my jaw wasn’t on the floor but I did enjoy it. But some parts were repeated a bunch of times, it wasn’t needed. This book was just alright.

And she does it AGAIN, with every book I just keep saying she is the QUEEN of psychological thrillers. With every book I say this is a favorite, and I sound like a broken record, but yep, I will keep saying it. I cant get enough of her. I received a copy of #TellMeTheTruth from #Netgalley and #DreamScapeMedia in exchange for my honest review, and I absolutely loved it. Kierstin Modglin really makes her characters feel real, relatable and they just jump off the page. You think you have her figured out, then bam, out o no where she hits you with another plot twist and sends you into a tail spin. This one was no different. I love a good cheating husband plot, but this isnt like any normal cheating husband plot. Just do yourself a favor and read or listen to this one. You won't regret it. I devoured this one in 2 sittings. She knows how to pick the best narrators that help to bring her stories and characters to life. I bow down to the queen of psychological thrillers. On to the next Kmod novel.
Thank you Net Galley For this advanced listener copy of Tell Me The Truth. I was not paid or influenced for this honest review.
Okay, let's talk KM. I am not sure why I read her books, but I am continually sucked into the plots. They are a quick very easy read with not much substance. There I said it. They are like drugs (I have never used but I am guessing it is a similar feeling--you get really high--feel good, have a good ride then crash hard, you swear to yourself you will never use again, and next month you see another hit and you go back) You leave feeling unfulfilled and yet I guess the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again hoping for a different result.....so I guess I am insane. I keep reading KM books hoping for a satisfying ending, I have yet to get one=--but it makes me want another one.
I don't know where to begin, Basically the first 200 pages here is all you need to know.
Joe lies.
Edith is obsessed with proving he is a liar.
Repeat (25 times)
Last 72 pages is when the action happens.
And by action I mean something differently finally happens. The puzzle pieces come together, although I was not confused I knew what Joe was doing, I mean duh. I guess you could say Edith puts all the pieces together.
Edith has the typical KM gay best friend thrown into the mix that drops a few one liners, he is way to over the top.
There were some serious plot holes that you have to go along with.
Like okay you have been married to a man and he lives 1/2 the week with his parents because they are ill....why did you never meet them?
I am surprised I gave this 3 stars but of all the KM books this is the most decent. So I am being nice---3 stars. Until next month--haha!

After reading the arrangement and the amendment, I decided to try this book by the same author. I enjoyed both those books for the whirl of plot twists and deception between the main characters. This book was a big disappointment and took a weird dedication to finish.
This book is similar to other Modglin books in that it’s about a married couple with infidelity issues. However, these two characters are so bland that as a reader I never cared about them at all. The plot twist at the end could have been really fun if the characters were well crafted enough to support it. Instead it felt like a mediocre at best story acted out by cut out paper dolls.
Don’t waste your time. If you want a quick read thriller, there are so many others to choose from.

Tell Me the Truth by Kiersten Modglin
The story of Joe & Edith takes gaslighting to a whole new level - Is Joe cheating again? Who is the woman in the photos? Is Edith imagining things this time?
After finding naked photos on her husband Joe’s phone, Edith follows him to a restaurant and finds the woman in the photo’s - She isn’t imaging it - She knew he lying, but if he is lying about this, what else is he lying about?
To gather more information about Joe’s newest mistress, Edith takes a job at the restaurant, alongside Amma, the woman in the photos.
Through twists & turns, Tell Me the Truth keeps the questions coming until the very end.
Random note - I’m really hoping to see Dan in another book. He is absolutely fantastic and I would love to have him in my life.
Thank you #kmod for the opportunity to read Tell Me the Truth early in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own. :) @seattle.Katie.reads

I was very disappointed in this book. I've now read several of Modglin's books and I absolutely consider myself a fan. But for this one, I struggled. A lot. I didn't like Joe and Edith. Their relationship never felt natural, and there was no reason I could find to empathize with either of them. Unfortunately, this story fell short of my expectations but I am not finished with the author!

Tell Me the Truth feels more like a domestic suspense than a mystery / thriller. The story is about the marriage of Edith and Joe as they have been rebuilding after Joe's affair. When Edith finds photos of another women on Joe's phone, the story takes off.
The author did a great job injecting small hints throughout the book as to the truth of what was lying just under the surface. While I was able to guess some of the twists along the way, I didn't guess the final twist.
Unfortunately, I didn't really connect with any of the three main charactors. However, I loved Ediths best friend, Dan - there wasn't enough of him and I'd love to read a book about his life!
While I did enjoy the story and am grateful for the opportunity to review it, I never felt completely hooked.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media LLC for this audiobook.
Release Date scheduled for May 10, 2022.
