I know what is like to be her. To forever and ever love your child for his amazing smile and his curiosity and his way of being, despite his health. To be able to do ANYTHING for that small part of your heart that is your child.

Okay, I’ll be honest. This book made me so angry. I read the alchemy series and loved it, and the first book in this new series was excellent. But this book? Absolutely not. The MMC was a literal pig of a man. I couldn’t stand him and the way he thought about and spoke about women was honestly disgusting. Then all of a sudden he has a come to Jesus moment and now he’s a new man? Yeah, I don’t buy it. Not for a second. The only reason it’s not 1 star is because I loved the whole mother-daughter aspect and the storyline for that, otherwise it would be a lot lower. Wouldn’t bother with this one truth be told. Check your trigger warnings and happy reading!
