Such a heartbreaking book. You get a warning from a letter written by the author and you really need to listen to what she’s saying. Even though you will be crying through a good bit of this book, it is still worth the listen to hear Sergio’s story.

You only need to know that I read this book before reading the series. And to this day I'm mad at NK. I will never not be mad.

I am literally wrecked. I've finally stopped crying, but I'm still shaking and snot faced. What a punch in the gut love story this was. I LOVED IT!

This is the first book I've read by Natasha Knight. Thank you Bex (Beckie Bookworm) for recommending I go into this blind. You were right. It made it one hell of an experience by reading this book first.

Natasha Knight, thank you for putting your soul out there. You really moved me.

While not chronologically the third book in the Benedetti series, this book is best listened to last. Sergio is the oldest of the Benedetti brothers and is readying himself to take his place as head of the family. When Natalie is in the wrong place at the wrong time, Sergio decided he will deal with her. This is far from a typical romantic meeting, but this is far from your typical romance.. Natasha Knight has let Sergio's story be told regardless of the outcome. The love between Natalie and Sergio is fierce. They are both flawed but perfect together. They both love with their whole heart. But love is not enough. This book will make you love, hate fear and cry. The warning let's you know it's not going to end happily, but the bittersweet story will stay with you, give you insight to the other family members and leave you with that lingering book hangover. I loved it!

This story needs narrators who read with great emotion.. Natasha Knight could not have cast it better..Both Tracy Marks and Michael Pauley have that natural emotional tone to their voices. I could feel every pain, every anger and every growth of Sergio and Natalie's love. Their performance is truly flawless.

I think it's rather impressive when an author can make you tear up in the note before the start of a book. When they hint at what to expect and it already hurts. When a song is used for as the emotional mindset, it's easy to understand. But the haunting melody and emotional words of "Darlin" by Houndmouth took me to the edge and then Natasha Knight shoved me over the cliff.

Sergio is (ugh, the feels. I can't see through blurry eyes but I needed to time this while it's raw and fresh) trapped. He is the first born. He has always known...He understands the fragility of life. And then he meets a girl.

A woman actually. A woman who turns his shadows into ghosts- always lurking, can be felt but not seen. A woman who brought hope to a desolate landscape. A woman who gave him more...

Sergio is everything you expect emotionally but times ten. I just want to start all over again so I can spend more time with him. Apparently, I need to back track and read Salavatore and Dominic now. And I absolutely will be reading them!!!

Phenomenal!! This is my first Natasha Knight book and let me just say wow! I am left just speechless and wrecked. I loved this book! Sergio was my dark pleasure! He couldn't have been more perfect. Nat was a just what he needed! I loved everything about their relationship. He just couldn't stay away from her and no matter how many chances Sergio gave her to walk away from him, she just couldn't do it! Their love story was intense, daunting, and raw. An all-consuming vise that grips you and makes you feel every emotion the character feel. I was in no way expecting this story to compel me that way that it did! This book brings a whole new meaning to "wrong place, wrong time" and "no matter what". I'm so upset with Natasha she mad me fall so deeply and she obliterated me all in a few hours. I read this book in one sitting too consumed to even pause for a second. Sergio is a standalone dark mafia romance, there are two books that come before this and I can't wait to read them! I found a new favorite author! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
