N'ayant jamais lu de «Bit-lit», je voulais donner sa chance à se genre. C'était peut-être une erreur, je retenterai ma chance avec un autre auteur pour valider, mais ce livre ne m'a vraiment pas plus. Prenez Buffy et mélangez la avec Blade et plonger le tout dans une ambiance de film de série B. Voilà à peu près le sentiment que j'en garde. De stéréotypes gros comme le bras, des dialogues inintéressant, une chasseuse qui charme par la séduction !?! Vraiment pas mon style de livre, mais pas du tout. Pourtant j'aime l'univers des vampires et tout, mais pas abordé de cette façon!

This book is so incredibly bland. The characters are bland and don't have much depth. The writing is very much tell and not so much show. The general storyline was okay, but was let down by the other parts of the book.
I have no shame in admitting that I read this book through and through in one sitting. It's a PNR at its finest; there's decent world building, enticing characters, and a whole lot of graphic scene.

I probably shouldn't even be rating this book simply because I could go no further than page 36. After the repetitive use of the word "luv" I was already annoyed. And let's face it... Most women who grew up in the 90's LOVE Spike, but come on!!! She completely ripped off the character!! Verbatim description! It just makes me angry and I refuse to finish this novel. The only reason it got a two star as opposed to a 1 is that I LOVED Buffy and if you're going to rip off something... At least it was a successful something... grrr
You can't help but love Cat - half human, half vampire who has to make a deal to work alongside a 100% vampire Bones who is sexy as hell.
