Scat: My Kindle Review
A longer story than “Hoot” and “Flush”, we follow two kids on a wild mystery when their not so likable teacher goes missing after a field trip goes awry and many surprising turns come their way, including a wild panther. It didn’t really pull me in like Hiaasen’s other two YA novels and while this mystery does grow kinda cold at times, it still excites me when we see the bad guys get caught, or clawed in this case. B+ (83%/Very Good)

I liked the story a lot. It's very intriguing from the beginning and discusses some more mature/meaty issues beyond the main storyline. I liked the discussions about friendship and the relationship between the main character and his closest friend.
it was good and entertaining but didnt totally pull me in.
Another great YA book from Hiaasen. The plot is very similar to that of Hoot, but the novel's climax is more engaging and exciting. The characters and their motives feel more developed in Scat than in Hoot, too.

It kept me wanting to read more. The plot of events was very different then how I thought they would turn out. I felt like anytime I could. I was like," okay I'm off to read Scat!"
