This is what creativity can be. I want to give this to every single person I know, because it contains truths that allow all of us to create with abandon and without angst or excuse. There is a clear and concise answer for every excuse a person could use not to create, and there is articulate permission given for every type of creation. I loved every word, and Elizabeth Gilbert is a wonderful narrator.

An engaging manifesto about creativity, discipline, and persistence. At first, I thought Gilbert's style was kind of cheesy and conversational, but there is a real genuine sense of humor and humanity that resides within. While I couldn't get into *Eat, Pray, Love,* I did appreciate Gilbert's advice on writing, especially on the discipline of writing. She demystifies a lot of myths about the Muse and gives practical advice about how to maintain joy in your creative process.
