this book should be on the reading list of anyone who wants to live a more creative life, and particularly those who have trouble giving themselves the permission to pursue their creativity. it is empowering and liberating. i read very little nonfiction, and this book actually made me cry, it spoke so directly to me. I also recommend reading the book in conjunction with the Magic Lessons podcasts on Elizabeth Gilbert's website.

I LOVED this book! So inspiring, creative, light-hearted but so blunt and honest. This is my first book by Gilbert and I love her voice and prose. Highly recommend!

Listened to the audiobook while I sewed. There's an interesting thought about ideas and a lot of empowerment if you want to be creative but aren't sure about it. But that's not me. I'm glad I read it since I keep seeing it be recommended, though.

I love this book.

The first part of the book was kind of a lull for me. The last third of the book is where I felt the Big Magic come into play. I enjoyed the references and quotes she included from other sources and she does a great job of reinforcing creativity as a force. A force that some of us may struggle to tame, partly because we are trying to tame it. I recommend this to anyone that is having trouble accepting their creativity or that struggles with self-doubts surrounding it.

I cannot say enough great things about this book. This is the type of book you read and then you want to get it for everyone you know as gifts because you want them to experience it too!

Ok this one is big for me. As a recent college grad the possibilities are DAUNTING, but this gave me a lot of hype to live outside of fear and within a commitment to honor my truest self and what she is inspired to do

Very inspiring! Completely relatable as an artist/creative. Really hits home on a lot points that creatives deal with internally. Love it! Highly recommended.
