I loved this book! I think this is the best out of all the Septimus Heap books so far. This is a continuation of the story as it left of in [b:Syren|8161254|Syren (Septimus Heap, #5)|Angie Sage|http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51lbo031chL._SL75_.jpg|5001343] (which I didn't care for). Merrin Merridith is back with the two faced ring and has the whole castle under a DarkDomain. Jenna and Septimus' birthday is interrupted and chaos ensues. Many of the characters do alot of growing up and families come together in unexptected ways.
This book has become my new favourite of the series! I loved how many different characters perspectives we got to see and how intricate and well put together the plot was. The ending was very satisfying and the writing, as per usual, was superb. I literally can't think of one thing that bothered me about this book, so of course, I have to give it 5/5 stars! I'd give it more if I could. :P

'Darke' is the first book in the Septimus Heap series that I hadn't previously read, so I was walking into this one with absolutely no prior knowledge. It's also the longest one in the series so far and I was reading this during a period of university assignments so it's taken me a while, but I still enjoyed it. I feel now that many plotlines from previous books in the series are getting properly wrapped up, and I do feel like I'm really nearing the end of this series (which I am!).
As much as I've liked revisiting this world and these characters, I'm excited to finish the series.

Petualangan Septimus makin seru aja. Kali ini berhubungan dengan Darke Week yang harus dilalui Septimus sebagai murid penyihir LuarBiasa.
Entah kebetulan atau tidak, di saat Darke Week Septimus, ada banyak kejadian yang berhubungan dengan Darke. Dimulai dari Alther yang tidak sengaja kena Banished sampai Darke Domain yang perlahan melingkupi Kastil dan membuat orang-orang yang terperangkap di dalamnya diserang horor.
Nah, sekarang terserah Septimus mau pilih yang mana. Dan ya, dia harus melakukan Darke Week-nya dengan sebaik mungkin, soalnya ini bukan lagi soal mendapat nilai tinggi, tapi menyangkut nyawa penduduk Kastil dan juga nyawa Alther. Yah, kalo Alther masih punya nyawa.
Kocak dan horor sekaligus. Disaat horor-horor-nya sekalipun selalu aja ada kejadian kocak. Banyak petuah bijak juga di sini. 5 dari 5 bintang pokoknya buat Darke. It was amazing :D
