Those twists were ridiculous. There was so much potential for this book but by the midway point, the author started repeating herself, going in circles. I’m all for unreliable narrators but this was not done well. At all.
And to make it worse, there’s philosophical stuff all over the book, which normally I wouldn’t mind because yay depth, but it was literally shoved down your throat. It’s fake substance. It simply ain’t that deep.
All in all, I’m glad I got to read this book through my library because if I paid for this book, I would’ve had to do a chargeback on my card.

4.5 stars!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I listened to the audio and I loved all the added touches to enhance the listening experience. The characters were all interesting and I felt like the pace was good for me. Since I listened on audio I read it way faster. But I understand if I was to read the physical book it might feel slow at parts. I have a hard time guessing the twists in books. I knew Abby was going to be on the island but I didn’t know what else was going to happen. I liked the ending. AND oh my gosh the hidden message in this book is FABBBB almost didn’t catch it. Amazing touch and it made the ending more satisfying. I have other Alice Feeney books that I enjoyed better but this one was enjoyable and I definitely recommend
