William Shakespeare was of course a master story teller and I believe this is one of his greatest. I have read Romeo and Juliet at least twice, including for academic purposes.

I was rooting for Juliette dad but then He became mysoginistic

Romeo and Juliet wasn’t the vibe back in high school and it’s not the vibe in uni either. The quest I did on RuneScape back in 2007 told the story better than my second read through.

I will say the nurse was a baddie and never got the recognition she deserved.

Essa peça só funciona porque estamos acompanhado uma dupla de adolescentes dramáticos.
Dito isso, amei o trio Benvólio/Mercúcio/Romeo

I really enjoy the Shakespearean writing style. Story is decent, but line by line it was very intriguing to read.

Than this of Juliet and her Romeo."

In this stifling heat, and my heart so sick with love, what's a better companion than Romeo and Juliet?

This is one of those stories where it gets better the more you read them. The first time I read this, I wasn't very much impressed. The second time I read this, I felt like I was reading a whole different play and I could finally see how good it was. But this third time? Goodness, I was having so much fun. Romeo and Juliet's scenes made me squeal and blush and giggle. Their love was so intense, even I felt so shy from it all.

I loved the brief introduction at the start of the book where it analysed the play, wrote of modern adaptations, and summarised the play. I didn't realise how short the play was (time-wise). Like, what do you mean all of this went down within mere days? Not even a week? Oh, "their love blazes briefly and it's extinguished in the tomb" encapsulated their story perfectly. I loved this.
