This book is binge worthy and I could not put it down! Growing up in a world filled with reality TV, boy bands, and selfies I am so grateful Knox tackled what this all actually reveals about ourselves. This is required reading for anyone who has been shaped by pop culture (hint: everyone). It takes some kind of wild talent to write a book mixed with both nostalgia and poignant considerations about our faith and culture. I'm so grateful this book is in the world. FIVE STARS!!!

"There’s a cheesy cliché you’ve probably heard: 'Not all who wander are lost.' But the truth is, not all who wonder are lost either. I like that because it gives me room to be specifically uncertain within a larger, faithful certainty."

I've been a fan of Knox from "The Popcast with Knox and Jamie," and more recently, "The Bible Binge," for a couple of years now. Though I don't always agree with him about pop culture or his take on certain Bible subjects (#teamJamie), I really enjoyed his "B Word" (his "book" people! Calm down... :) He is vulnerable about his journey and how he learned about and wrestled with the Lord. I still don't agree with him on everything but I really appreciate what he had to say. Just his chapter on how Christians interact with pop culture alone made the book worth reading.

Couldn’t put it down. As an avid listener of the Popcast, I was excited when I received this book as a birthday gift last week authored by none other than Knox McCoy-producer of wheezy laughs, purveyor of witty anecdotes, bearer of pop cultural prowess, and hater of the Oxford comma.

I picked this up as my inaugural read of 2019 and it did not disappoint. I flew through its easy to read and captivating essays. I cried tears from both laughing too hard and the beauty of his vulnerability. I found myself thinking, I wish I were half as quick-witted and well-written as Knox. I can’t wait until he writes another one.

If you love the Popcast, read this book. If you love memoirs that aren’t trying to be anything other than what they are, a person’s look at his own life’s lessons and how he sees the world and makes sense of it, you’ll love this book!

If you’re a fan of the Popcast, this is a fun, quick listen. My favorite part was Knox’s theories on the Antichrist. He has a great delivery such that even when I disagree with his take on a particular cultural aspect, I still get a great laugh out of it.

Felt like Knox finally hit his stride the last third of the book - especially with well chosen Abraham Lincoln quotes that knocked his musing out of the park :) A fun second book of 2019!
