Too many misspellings and grammatical errors.
So long as she has a nice body, you can always put a bag over her head, or yours, during sex. Make yours a plastic bag, dude.

sweet story not based on looks and how insta attraction means love. Instead, the characters get to know one another, find out the good and the bad, and fall in love. how it should be! there are ups and downs, misunderstandings, stupidity, and communication snafus. but in the end they learn to trust and they end up having a stronger relationship for it. I wish this was a series so I could read more of their story honestly. I wonder how everyone at the station takes their relationship considering her family. And I loved his family ribbing them and how she found her place to belong with them.
Audible Escape. There's nothing amazing or incredibly original about this story, but it was a fun listen. Savannah Peachwood and Brian Pallino were terrific.
Ford is a detective with the local PD and Gina is a wedding planner with family ties to the mob. After an initial interaction implodes ~ Ford is ordered to get close to Gina in order to ascertain whether her brothers are up to no good. Ford falls for Gina. There's the *big misunderstanding*/revealing of Ford's omission of facts. A quick reconciliation. They get their HEA. Cute epilogue.
I agree with other reviewers that Gina's looks, or lack thereof, are belabored to the level of annoyance. I get that it's sort of the point of the story ~ but I wish it wouldn't have been hammered in during every single chapter by every character.
Overall, this is a cute Audible Escape listen and I plan to continue with the series.

Iâve been dying to read this series for so long, but was holding off to read them back to back.
This book sucked me right in. I stayed up all night reading it (oops!) and just couldnât put it down. I tried, so I could sleep, but my mind stayed on it and I couldnât until I finished it. Itâs the first I have read by this author, so you never know what youâre going into. Her writing just flows so beautiful. Itâs a perfect level of easy humour but actual good writing. I was very much able to tell the two POVs apart. Often authors donât give characters different voices, but that wasnât the case with this one at all.
I loved the characters so much. Gina was not the beautiful, modelesque girl we often get in contemporary romances. Sheâs plain, with facial features that turn people off. Aka: sheâs human. Iâve been dying to get into this series because Butterface and Muffin Top are about women who donât fit into societyâs image of âperfectâ. Gina isnât hot or pretty by most peopleâs standards. It made her such a great character to read and to be honest, very relatable. I see why these books are a hit with readers. Itâs a refreshing change.
Ford is such a doll too. He stands out from all the jerks and although his first meeting with Gina is less than ideal, that doesnât stop him from being intrigued and attracted by her. I loved all the parts where his coworkers would make snide comments and rude jokes about her appearance and he would stand up for her. Heâs a Prince Charming in the truest sense of the word.
The story is great! I loved the situation they were put in. It makes it so much more sadder for her, but still great to read. The situation they were put in is parallel to their characters. Gina doesnât trust relationships because how theyâve always been for her. This is one that sheâs trusting wholeheartedly. For Ford, heâs a good guy who just wants her, but his situation is making it so he shouldnât. The romance is a fantastic slow build, stomach-tingling time. I felt so much for these two while reading.
I canât wait to go onto the next book! If one of the next two proves to be as good as this one, the author has a new follower!
