Not your typical rom-com. This was a steamy, dual perspective fake dating love story that was great on audio. I loved that the heroine, Gina, is not a knock-out, but has a face with 'character' and has gone through life constantly teased for her large nose. When she gets stuck on a kiss cam with a hot policeman and he proposes a fake dating scenario to save face (and get access to her shady brothers) Gina reluctantly agrees (in exchange for some manual labor for her house that needs lots of fixing up). The rest of the story was pretty predictable but I loved all the small town charm and relatable characters that weren't picture perfect. Definitely recommended for a quick, entertaining read.

Books written in third person are not my favs.
I really enjoyed this plot! A little too steamy/descriptive for me but I love the romance genre so I expected as much.
Romantic Comedy
This book was hilarious and sweet. Gina and Ford made a good couple and I loved some the awkward moment's they had and the chemistry between them was hot. Avery Flynn is a new author to me and I enjoyed reading this is and look forward to reading more of her work.

It was okay... but I was a bit disappointed. Of course I expected it to be cheesy and somewhat silly, and yes, it's nice to have a heroine who's not drop dead gorgeous, but really? Look, high school is hell for a lot of people, but I can't believe most adult people really act this way. I expect better.
Super adorable! Read it in one sitting and TBH I’ve never read a romantic comedy where the main character was “ugly”. It was a refreshing change of pace and I love Avery Flynn’s Ice Hockey series so this was a no-brainer!
3.5 stars.
This was a great introduction to the Hartigans since I had not read Avery Flynn's other series.
I enjoyed meeting her friends and witnessing Ford and Gina fumble through getting to know each other.

A heartwarming tale with all the feels
An all around heartwarming tale of insecurity, how loving and accepting yourself is more important than how the rest of the world sees you. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts, they are quirky and cute, and complement each other perfectly. Hopefully lies won't tear it all down and leave them miserable and alone, trying to pick up the pieces. Read this if you enjoy easy, romantic, slightly emotional reads that will leave you incredibly satisfied by the end.
