This romantic comedy was so cute and so good and also deep and hits you in the feels. I really liked this book you guys. Gina Luca is a woman with distinguishing features and has been teased in her life and it has effected her and her relationships or lack thereof. She meets Ford Hartigan at a wedding and they’re forced on the Kiss Cam, and a joke turns into actual sparks. Their relationship takes some turns and twists. We get a HEA. If you are looking for romance with the feels and some laughs, this should be your next read.

Floundered in the middle

A great premise that didn't reach it's full potential. I always enjoy reading stories with unconventional heroes and/or heroines, so it was a welcome change to read about a heroine who doesn't fit into society's definition of "beauty." This book had lots of great moments and kept me engaged until about the midway point. The pacing slowed and didn't really ever pick back up. I enjoyed the book, but I felt like I could have enjoyed it more had it not floundered in the middle. It seems like the hero and heroine were stuck in the same place for too long before another development occurred in the story/their relationship. Overall, I enjoyed this book and will listen to more from the author.

So much of this book annoyed me and made me roll my eyes. And as much as I was like, “people don’t really act like this, do they?” it made me think about how people are jerks and what we see in ourselves is most important. True beauty is within and all that, ya know? But I do think the way Gina was treated throughout the story was extremely exaggerated. And something I believe most people (hopefully) outgrow as they age and mature and stop being assholes like they were in high school. Also I hate the term “butterface”. Blergh. But, I’ll still read the sequels because I am a glutton for punishment, huh? The next one is about a fat lady, cannot wait to experience that!!!!!!!!!

So horrible

I had high hopes for this story. Always having a heroine who is gorgeous but doesn’t know it gets old. Having a heroine who understands she’s not the ideal sounded so refreshing. But instead of feeling good that Gina was living her life and was searching for her happy despite being teased and called names, I saw a woman who was hiding in plain sight. She still hid in bathroom stalls when women said ugly things about her. She refused to believe anyone could want to be with her long term. I know the damage that words can do. I know how hard it can be to know you aren’t the ideal. I wanted a story where I rooted for her and felt pride in her standing up for herself but she didn’t. The mystery part was just slapdash and although I liked Ford, everyone else was two dimensional.
