Another really great book in this series. Again, I'm surprised that I'm enjoying this as much as I am, since I had no expectations of the series. I really enjoy the wild magic, and how Daine uses it. There is an argument to be made that she is getting way overpowered, and it could only get worse in the last book, but part of me is kind of charmed by it all. Daine is so begrudging about a lot of the truly wild powers she picks up along the way, like: "Another thing? A new power? Why? I just want to hang out with my animal friends, and help them if they get sick. Can't the Gods leave me alone?" I kind of love it.
