This was a nostalgic re-read of a favorite series from my early teens. I definitely can’t say anything objective about these books, but I still enjoyed them and have to give five stars for that.

This is a fun read. Some of the plot devices are a little random and you can see that Tamora Pierce is sowing the seeds for the eventual Numair/Daine pairing which I’m not thrilled about. Overall though, still a good instalment in the series. I did miss Cloud though.
