A reread from earlier this year. The Pride and Prejudice-esque romance is still very charming.
I think this one will be my favorite Bedwyn book! Wulfric is the perfect Mr. Darcy. Brooding and proud, and constantly looking after his siblings. He deserves a woman who would bring out his youth. And clumsy Christine is perfect for him.

I like Wulfric as a character and that is the sole reason for my rating
I enjoyed the audio version of this book. I was waiting for Wulfric’s story ever since reading the first Bedwyn and hearing how he was best friends with his brother Aiden until he was separated from the family to study for his future as a Duke.
Poor Wulfric! He attends a house party he thinks is for intellectuals but is actually someone betrothal celebration. Then is falling for Christine, and without even knowing him, she is so cruel to him. She takes what she has heard others say about him and believes it 100%. He is so cold, has no heart, loves nothing and no one. How can she know this after seeing him for 2 weeks at a house party?
Eventually he is able to show her the truth of his life and feelings but it takes so long for her to accept that. This is ironic because of how her in-laws treat her. Believing she is a huge flirt, and disgrace to the Ton when Christine actually tried to hard to fit in.
Despite what sounds like complaints above, I liked this book and would recommend it
