What a fab idea for a story. The main character was likeable but the two stories weaving in and out of each other just didn’t work. I felt the ending was very rushed

This book was so magically written that it was even frustrating to read. Healey takes the reader into the thought process of someone who is going through the stages of dementia with solving a mystery mixed in. She makes the reader feel each confusing aspect of the characters thoughts, showcasing how easy it is to confuse the past with the current. Each paragraph is carefully written and the reader needs to pay attention to each detail as Healey writes it for a reason. It may not be easy to read, but I recommend anyone to pick up this book.

A beautifully written and highly original debut novel. I think I would describe it as a mystery drama. It is by turns sad, funny, warm, chilling and suspenseful. The characters, even the grumpy daughter, are realistic and easy to sympathise with. The vulnerable but plucky and courageous heroine will stay with me for some time.
Felt flat with no real twist
Graphic: Dementia
Was a really interesting read. Protagonist is an old lady losing her memory and book jumps between past and muddled present.
