Had to re-read to refresh my memory for the sequel. Since I am certainly not in the target demographic for this book (young/new adults) I found more to bitch about then they would so I guess this review will be to the older readers.
1. These are high schoolers under the age of 18, mostly just under 18 or in the case of the heroine a junior and very 17.
2. They act and are portrayed as being baddasses and the heroine spends the entire book making sure the reader and everyone else doesn't forget this fact.
3. Back to the high school, I kind of had a bit of trouble reconciling the fact that these very adult looking and acting characters are having chocolate milk in the cafeteria.
4. OTT Characters.
Each male character (there are 5) is described in such a way as that the whole of the group could be in a K-Pop band. Everyone has tattoos (nevermind that they are under 18) that are extensive enough to show on any bit of skin not covered up, including the neck.
The guys are all either tall, shredded, very attractive, well dressed, everything, and each guy is a "type".
Hael - the quiet one with scars and voice damage that causes him to have a kind of deep whisper for a voice. He is the one who is the most up for violence, but he has a hidden "soft" side.
Aaron - the former "Disney Prince" with blonde hair, and blue eyes who used to be preppy and "normal" but has shed that to become a bad boy in the group. His father is dead and his mother ran off to parts unknown leaving him with his 5-year-old sister and 2-year-old niece.
Victor - the 6'5" leader of the group. He has his reasons for doing things and isn't always transparent about it. He is the main love interest. He is the baddest ass of all the baddasses. He lives with his father who is portrayed as a drunken, overweight, easy to dominate and order around kind of lout. What Victor says goes. Victor is always dark and broody. He rides a Harley.
Oscar - The metrosexual guy who wears glasses and suits that still allow his blended neck tattoos to creep above his collar, thereby making him all the more baddassed. He spends the book being the "secretary" of the group, always on his iPad, making the plans set by the leader happen.
Callum- the "Vice President", just about equal in looks and status as the leader, a bit lighter in attitude, a bit more fun, drives a "classic Camaro". He has blood red hair cut short on the sides but long on the top.
It is very easy to see each guy as a member of some baddassed boy group. Like I said, I am not in the demographics. Keeping them all so unrealistic just keeps me from taking the book too seriously.
Then you have the heroine, Bernadette Blackbird. She has long white-blonde hair with pink highlights? Ends? Not sure, but there is a lot of pink with the white. Bernadette's figure is 38-28-40 with, and I am not kidding size "G" boobs. She's just 17. She spends the book making sure we all know how baddassed she and the guys are, all the while making sure that we know that they are all poor as dirt, and don't care about the future, that stealing is her only way of getting anything decent.
So, yeah. I got tired of the whole not caring about the future, so why care about what we do today. I got tired of the whole, “make way for our baddasseness” scenes.
Now, I have to say that the sex scenes and tension between the characters was pretty good. IF I was able to forget that they are just kids.
Yet...yet....I couldn’t stop reading. I just have to read this series to the end.

Review: HAVOC. Do I get a hot ass gang of men now, too?! 🥵
Hael = red mohawk & camero
Aaron = the ex, first love
Victor = the leader (man on this cover)
Oscar = glasses & tattoos
Callum = the broody, quiet one
& Bernie. Our badass heroine. She has these boys wrapped around her finger and it’s only book #1. Her and Victor are soul mates in the most violent, red flag way & I’m here for it. This series is starting out as a revenge plot for the people who have done Bernie so wrong. IMO, completely validated!
The spice is hot! Her & Victor are hate f’n most of the time & her and Hael have fun making others jealous 😉
Lets get this out of the way before anything else : I love this series.
Do I WANT to love this? Do I LIKE the fact that I enjoy the bully trope? Is this is realistic story or a relationship Id want to live? Am I a fan of MUCH of this content (irresponsibility with BC, the cruelty, etc ) in REAL LIFE? No. lol But its a perfect formula for this series.
I read to escape reality - and this series 100% dragged me away from anything resembling reality.
I do enjoy a good RH read, and this has it in spades.
I enjoy an actual plot, and this series is pretty plot-driven.
I enjoy filthy, well-written sex scenes that are not just 100% repetition. In fact, I DNF a different series that I actually enjoyed for the most part, because every sex scene was written the same way. Same dialogue, same everything. (For example, how many times can someone say "Baby girl, where'd you learn to sk d like that?" She's good. We get it. What else you got? A thesaurus would be a great place to start.) I don't have that problem with this book.
I'm a fan of violence in what I read, and this has that down pat.
I like a variety of smutty MMC, and for some reason, I love the HAVOC men. I love Bernadette. If I were to have one complaint, there's too much sex. And that's a silly complaint that comes from the "If this were real...." area of my brain. It's not real, and doesn't aspire to be.
Its also not targeted at kids - so the complaints in other reviews that are yelling for better role models for "young teens" and whatnot, are irrelevant. Will some under 18 folks read it? Sure. Does this book present itself as reality or a guide to how relationships actually should be? Of course not. How it would influence children is absolutely the last thing I care about when choosing smut.
Its smutty fiction and probably one of my favorite examples of it.
I finished the series in about a week. Now, I cant find anything that pulls me in like this one!

I really enjoyed this book when I was certain I wouldn’t. I can’t wait for Chaos!!
I literally. Holy crap. This book is amazing. The characters are hot AF and I'm in love with each boy's different personality and the family they have created. The author has a fantastic way of making me feel Bernadette's emotions. This book is full of nail biting, on the edge of your seat drama, with characters you hate to love. Every single character in this book is so well developed and so complex. Probably some of the most complex characters I've ever met. Each one of them have some good qualities and absolutely horrible qualities. The storyline is very compelling and kept me up reading the whole night. They wreaked havoc everywhere they went, and all for Bernadette. I can’t wait to see what chaos they stir up in the next book!
This entire series is fantastic! I have read it at least twice, and I get more into it with each read. Bernadette is a strong FMC, and her men are different aspects of every woman's dark fantasies! This book series is not for people who have a lot of triggers, or who do not like dark romances. However, if you are into dark and twisted, then this is definitely the series for you!
5 stars for Havoc at Prescott High by C.M. Stunich. This is book one in The Havoc Boys series. Wow this is a dark reverse harem at its finest. “This time, I’m tonguing the villain to guarantee the destruction of others.” Hael, Aaron, Victor, Oscar and Callum have made Bernadette’s life hell but now she needs them in order to get her revenge. I am a huge fan of C.M. Stunich and this book is another example of why. I was hooked from page one. Bernie has been through a lot but she is still strong. I love her character. Be warned this book ends with a massive cliffhanger.
It was my first CM. Stunich novel and well...I had to give it a chance.
I wish goodreads would update their rating system so you could give 1/2 stars because I was teetering between 2 or 3, only reason why I gave it 2 stars because the repetitiveness was killing me, how many times do you have to reiterate the color of someone's hair, eyes, smell? Not in every other sentence and definitely not every other page...maybe every other chapter but constantly, there were moments I would just skip to the apostrophes and jumped through the dialogue because the it could get so overbearing with the descriptions.
Also I get it, they smoke but god damn they are chainsmokers hahaha every other page it was either a cigarette after another or a joint like my goodness y'all are really doing it in.
Then we get to the protagonist...Bernie...oh Bernie why can't you just be honest with yourself for once? And "Heather" such a random distraction that she usually just pawns off to someone else, like someone is always conveniently having a party or a sleepover or after school - the storyline truly could've done without it.
I think my favourite character had to have been the Vice Principle, she seemed the realest of them all...honestly hahah.
Not sure if I will read the second book...not sure but it was interesting to dive into this book and just read.
OH - and the reiteration of licking the bottom lip, or swiping the tongue across the bottom lip...just some stuff could've been left out, no need to describe everything.
The sex scenes were good, could've been more descriptive in that department rather than the hair, eye color and smell as we already know what each character looks like.
And before I forget...high heels in highschool? Maybe lord. I just laughed it off.
Till next time CM...till next time.

Where to start. This book was enthralling, I couldn't put it down like most of C.M Stunich's work. This storyline is amazing! So many twists and turns and waiting in anticipation for the next thing. I cannot wait for the next book to see where this story goes next. I love me these HAVOC boys and bernie is such an amazing and strong MC. I can't wait for more!!! I am already antsy with anticipation! Thank you CM Stunich!!!!
