Bernadette had lived in South Prescot all of her life. With her dead beat mom and a horrible stepdad, her lif ewas misserable. She had an older sister that died when she was a freshman and then she has a younger half sister called Heather. Most of her life she admired these 5 boys, Hael, Aaron, Victor, Oscar, and Callum. When the boys grew up, they started a gang called HAVOC. Their main thing was that if anyone called out HAVOC, the person could ask them for any favor, and HAVOC would then decide the price for that favor. Bernadette or Bernie had a best friend... or so she thought.. Her best friend called out HAVOC and asked them to ruin Bernie's life. For the next year, they made her life a living hell. Until the day her sister died. It was ruled a suicide but that never sat right with her. Her step dad had raped her and her mom threatned to kill her. After two more years of being misserable, Bernie decided she would take back her Senior Year and get revenge. So she called out HAVOC. HAVOC made a deal with her to get revenge if she promosed to become a HAVOC girl. Bernie accepted. The boys took it slow getting thru her list but it become more clear that things were more connected then they first seemed. There were new gangs and threats that popped up to keep them on their toes. Overall this book was pretty good. A bit slow at times but it had some good twists and turns and was interesting. The spice was also really good.

Every so often, I’m in the mood to read a good romance on Kindle Unlimited. I’ve pretty much exhausted all of Laura Thalassa, so one of my friends who also enjoys Laura Thalassa recommended this book.

I’ve never read a reverse harem or a high school bully romance, both of which seem to be becoming popular romance categories, but I always have an open mind even if it’s not my thing. I honestly enjoyed the story more than I expected to!

The book was dark and gritty and disturbing. Despite everyone being in high school, the crime and demographics of the area and parental issues and abuse all kind of seemed believable in its own way. While paranormal romance is more up my alley, dark is dark and I’m usually a fan of the whole enemies to lovers trope, as well as villains or otherwise bad characters being the love interests in general. Also I can’t help but feel like a reverse harem is just as weird and unbelievable as fae or vampires, so it’s really not all that different.

I can’t wait for the sequel!

Not gonna lie...

I was leary about this series and put off reading it. I feel like an idiot now! LOL It's really good, ends with a cliffhanger, so I'm really glad I don't have to wait for the next one!

3.5⭐️ if you suspend your entire reality and basically age up these people so they’re just in a normal gang and not in a school gang then it makes way way more sense that everything that happens currently LOL. pretty dark and juicy so that was fun

Dios mío del amor hermoso.

What the actual f#ck did I just read? This has to be the hottest pile of garbage I’ve read this year.

I’m used to RH where you have to force your suspension of disbelief, but in this case, you have to actually assassinate the poor thing in order to read this monstrosity.

This book is about 17 year old high school students, who live in the bad side of town, go to a dangerous school and are poor. But at the same time, they are covered in tattoos, constantly chain-smoking and consuming drugs and booze, and riding expensive cars.

Make it make sense.

Sure, I guess I could ignore their age (
