This is a dark, gang, new adult book. It was good. I enjoy Bernadette for the most part although sometimes she does annoy me. I feel like the guys are pretty standard for this type of series. I am curious how things go and plan to continue the series.

I've been wanting to start this series for a while, but after reading some reviews of the heavy bullying Bern went through thanks to the boys I wasn't sure I'd like it, but was I wrong.. we only get mentions of it and some flashbacks and I didn't mind. For me it wasn't triggering but everyone is different. It all starts with Bernadette's desire to take revenge on those who have hurt her deeply as well as revenge for her sister, to succeed she invokes H.a.v.o.c, the five boys who, like demons from the hell, in exchange for something end up in your hands ready to do anything. Bernadette will have to give herself, literally, and become a havoc girl in order to punish the people of her list. I loved Bernie, who for once as a female lead, is not the complete opposite but really so similar to the boys. And the boys..d a m n these boys... can't wait to see more developments. Vic possessiveness sometimes it's a turn off but that's because I love boys who know how to share, I know it'll happen eventually though so as I said I really can't wait for the relationship with the other guys to develop

This is not what I was expecting when I cracked open this book. My heart is pounding and I'm ready to devour the next book. I could hardly put Havoc down.

I’m stunned speechless. Stunich placed unadulterated emotion into a blender, and made it form a novel - the likes of which I haven’t read before.

I gave this a 4 because, while it’s not my favorite by a long shot, it’s the only RH I’ve ever liked. To me, that’s saying something. 

Note: I didn’t let this impact my rating of the book because the rating is only for this book, but I do think the series in general starts strong but starts to drag after the second. I didn’t finish the series because of that.
