My second book from the author & series. I really loved Simon Hunt - how he’s self made, how he distinguishes himself by not pretending to be something he’s not while not shying away from acknowledging the need to be amicable to the aristocracy; his farsightedness in economics to his shrewd business tactics. Loved the complexities of his character and the internal dilemma about his feelings and being on the road to understand them.
Annabelle Peyton - liked the character development; loved the internal conflict about her feelings; the push and the pull between the societal norms and her changing ideals in a new world. She might come off as snobbish at first but really liked how she pulled through and understood her feelings and her newfound place at the end of the book.

I really thought that Hello Stranger was the most disappointing story of Lisa but hey, THIS BOOK EXIST.

This is the most disappointing Lisa Kleypas I ever read since The Ravenels series. I like the topic so much it's really interesting and the characters ruined it, especially the heroine. THE HEROINE WAS SO FRUSTRATING AND ANNOYING. No chemistry at all and too dry.

I just don't get the characters to be honest. They're both very frustrating, no development at all and should I say they both kind of do not know what they really want in life? They just both keeps on insulting each other, like are you both okay?

I'm still expecting the next book to save this series and hopefully it would be an okay read or better, will blow my mind.

This was so sweet. There was absolutely zero stake and that’s what I love about it!

Good smut.
Weird and unneeded last 20% but enjoyed nonetheless!
