I read this book over a series of evenings sat in a pool and a hot tub at the rec center, and it brought me immense joy. I love seeing the ways different people experience the animals outside of us, the ones strange, and the ones dear to our hearts. Sy Montgomery has lived a beautiful life so far, and this book it a testament to it.
