Sy's love of animals really comes through in the audio version. She is very passionate about many things. Several times, it was so strong I said, "Calm down, Sy," aloud. I wouldn't call it a bad thing overall, but a little much for me. I don't think I'll be able to get the phrase "anus blooming like a flower" out of my head no matter how much I want it to.

A very very sweet book. I enjoyed the focus on the animals and how Sy gives mentions of her life stories alongside them. I think it felt a little less personal than some other memoirs I have read but that doesn’t make it a bad book. She gave snippets of her personal life that guided her to each animal which I really loved.
