This book was wonderful.  It made me cry multiple times and really opened my eyes to what true sustainability needs to look like.  Inspiring and informative, I want to just take a walk through the woods with the author and hear his thoughts and ideas.

I appreciate all of Wohlleben's literary work, but I liked the format and content of this one the most, as far as absorption of abundant information is concerned. It's slightly more conversational with more events related to the content than just reflectiv  information on tree systems (which isn't bad either! Just harder for my neurodivergent brain to stay focused).

I would recommend this to anyone who cares about our natural world.

A bit rambling and more preachy than the first book.

8/10. I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about conservation efforts. I discovered so much more about the anatomy of trees, how nature benefits health, recent plant research, and how plants are so much more intelligent than we perceive them to be. I appreciated the fact that this book encouraged appreciation of nature and living in the moment: however, too many of the solutions in the novel were to simply “appreciate nature” and go on nature walks.

A nice nature loving book to wind down the stress of the day. At the same time it opens my eyes to a hidden industry, the forestry, one that is so far removed from city dwellers, but massively driven by us. While the book keeps on saying there is hope, I do feel despaired thinking about how much damage human beings have done to Mother Earth.
