This was my first time reading Saunders and I'm in love. Why can't more stories be about trying to understand the minds of weird people in weird scenarios? My favorite was Ghoul because of its mix of sincere story and insane premise.

at its best, this book was everything I love about short story collections: painfully and unabashedly human. i admire the care that it shows for different viewpoints, and the way it complicates simple binaries of right and wrong. am already prepared to be haunted by the world and characters Saunders has created.
