Sydney Shaw, like every single woman in New York, has terrible luck with dating. Her new boyfriend is utterly perfect. He's charming, handsome and works as a doctor at a local hospital. Sydney is swept off her feet. After all, she is dating the guy of her dreams but she can’t shake her own suspicions that the perfect man may not be as perfect as he seems because someone is watching her every move, and if she doesn’t get to the truth, she could be the killer’s next victim. This book had me absolutely hooked and I could not put it down, I could have easily binged it in a single sitting but I also didn't want it to end. This was my first Freida McFadden read and it's safe to say that it definitely won't be my last. It was such a great psychological thriller that kept me guessing, and even though I did partly guess the big twist it was still a great read. Overall, I highly recommend this read if you love fast paced psychological thrillers.

The first time I sat down to read this, I only read the first chapter and stopped reading for two months. But I just picked this up yesterday, and was very quickly hooked. 
After having read quite a few of Freida’s books, I have to say that this one is one of the darker, and more graphic ones I’ve read. 
I thought I had the twist at the end, but I was so wrong. McFadden did an amazing job once again!

definitely an easy read and i didn’t expect the plot twist. it also was so frustrating when the main character would point out such obvious details and still not think they were suspicious.

I really enjoyed this book. The written was incredibly great. The preformence was very good.  The overall storyline was incredible.  The twists will having me raving about this book for years to come. Really enjoyed this book.

I kept seeing so many people reading this book, and so I was curious. The only really good thing about this book is that it was easy to read and fast to get through. This was one of McFadden's weaker works. The red herrings were too obvious, and the protagonist is possibly one of the stupidest I've ever read. She was completely incapable of taking care of herself and utterly void of any intuition. The twist was admittedly a slight surprise, but it was also anticlimactic because the misdirects were so clear.

If you skip this one, you'll be saving yourself some time that you can use toward a better book. If you like her works, I thought she did a better job with One by One, Never Lie, The Housemaid, The Locked Door, and The Teacher. This and the others I've read by her but not listed above have been mediocre at best but often worse.
