the book was insufferable and lacked a lot of what made the movie so special

thought it was written before the movie - I was wrong
Would be confusing if I hadn’t watched the movie before and a bit rushed but still a quick, enjoyable read
Some questionable behaviour from Keating that is not in the movie?

Dead Poets Society is one of my favorite movies of all time, so of course I had to read the book. I don't know why I was expecting not to cry, considering the nature of the story. This book was a great supplement to the movie, containing details that added to the boys' and Keating's characters that was unable to fit in the 2-hour timeframe of the movie. Such a great book!
