I finally got to read it! I've been waiting for this book to come out since what feels like forever!!! It was really good :)

I love this series! This last book was harder for me to get into. The plot seemed random and forced at first and the swamp characters (especially the three sisters) felt caricaturized. After about page 60, though, I got swept up in the story and the more I read, the more I loved the new characters. I also loved how nicely this book wrapped up the story of one of the character's from the first book. The ending of this book was fantastic, a great resolve to the series. One thing I especially loved about it (the first book in the series had this as well) was how well it shows the benefit of education. Because the attendees of the princess academy don't see a real reason for learning, they have to be convinced of why they need to learn first and the reader gets to go along with them on that journey.

Every preteen girl should read these books.

Ahhhh!

Oh my goodness! Such a great ending to this story!

Had a much simpler plot than book two but it still hooked me quick. I loved the resolution to the story, very straightforward despite the complications. The sisters were distinct characters and were good for Miri, just as she was good for them.

I liked this one almost as much as the first. The characters were adorable and believable, the pacing was good, the scenes shifted and wove about with lots of action. Even if the reveal about who that boy in the tower was a little predictable, I still enjoyed the resolution.

EDIT: 11/26/16 - I have no idea what I was talking about with the whole "boy in the tower" thing... Did I get that from a different book?!
