Quick, funny, witty read. The story/contents were perfectly fit to the length of the book. There’s no real plot so don’t come looking for it! Reminded me of David sedaris at some points, if he were an Italian woman living between Rome and Berlin.

Her characterization of her father was great, and I loved the recurring bits about his walls and “We’ve reached the height of paradox!”. It took a bit longer to get a sense of her mother but by the end she felt real and whole too.

Didn’t give me the full satisfaction of a more plot-y 5-star read, but it does what it intended to do very well.

Very funny. It doesn’t add it up to anything much larger but I’m happy to go for the ride. There are some quiet moments of deeper eddys that are more than earned.
