It took me awhile to get into this story. There were a lot of characters and each chapter was told from a different characters’s perspective. It took a bit of time to remember who each person was and their role. It felt like it took awhile for the narrative to move along.

It was a good book but for the first quarter to half I was too focused on remembering which character was which. I needed a flow chart. There are too many characters in this book.
dark mysterious tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

Ugh, this started SO GOOD but the ending was NOT satisfying. The reader finds out who committed the murder and why, but far too many people get away with (literal and figurative) murder.

Wow! I'm baffled by all the reviews saying this book is mediocre. In my opinion, it is better than The Girl On The Train. I can't remember my star-rating on TGOTT but Into The Water is a definite 5-star read.

I had a hard time getting into the book to start with, but then started to really enjoy it. There were a lot of twists and turns up to the very end.

Underwhelming and quite boring to be honest.

DID NOT FINISH: 36%

didn't like or care about any of the characters so... couldn't be bothered basically
slow-paced

My god. SO MANY POVS. Within the first 30 pages there were way too many POVs to keep track of and I found myself very frustrated to the point where I was having a hard time paying attention to the actual plot. Once it got going about halfway through, I finally knew who was who, and what was going on. A killer twist at the last couple pages that left me speechless. It was worth it and I enjoyed the ending, but I wouldn‰ЫЄt highly recommend this one to anyone.
