پایانش خیلی جالب نبود، شخصیتای زیادشم تا آخر کتاب گیجم میکرد، روندشم خیلی باب میل نبود
Hawkins wrote another novel of tragically flawed men and women. This time it is based on a place called "The Drowning Pool" where women take their lives. With their deaths, lies the secrets of their lives and what events lead up to the tragedy. I did not enjoy this book as much as Gone Girl but it still was a good read. Each chapter is told in the viewpoint of another character and there is, of course, a plot twist at the end.

Too many characters and POVs, plus lots of moments of “is this real or am I imagining it”, which I honestly do not like. I also disliked every one of the characters, which is not necessarily a nonstarter for me, but only if I really like the story… which I did not, in this case.
Graphic: Rape, Suicide, Murder
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship, Homophobia, Misogyny
2.5 stars (barely)
This book was a pretty big disappointment compared to The Girl on the Train. There were so many characters and narrators that it was a little tough to keep track of everything. There were so many plots when in reality there are only two or three important characters and themes. Every character, including ones that don't mean anything to the overall outcome of the story, has some form of narration and it's just so confusing. The ending is something that the author must have thought, "oh shit, there's no way I can tie up all these loose ends so I'm just gonna PULL THIS ENDING OUT OF MY ASS AND CALL IT A DAY."
Obviously, I didn't enjoy it.
Overall, the story line is something interesting, but there are more negatives to the writing aspect than positives. Read at your own risk, I think.

Really enjoyed this book!! The story is pretty crazy and there are a lot of characters to keep track of but the ending is wild and very unexpected.
Not feeling it rn, might be back!
