Not my preferred writing style. All telling no showing. 50 pages in very little had happened to establish characters. Found it a bit repetitive and insta-lovey

Cute, simple romance with added baby dragons 🤷🏼♀️
For some reason, that I'm going to take a guess is because of the title 😶, I thought this book's plot was going tobe centered around a cozy cafe. Particularly one that is full of baby dragons.
And dang was I in the mood for some cozy baby dragon vibes.
But maybe I was expecting too much? Maybe I shouldn't have read the title because I felt like this story happens mostly outside of the cafe. And, although the cafe is briefly described as cozy with destructive, but cute baby dragon pets, that's about the end of the cafe being in the story. The girl owns the cafe...and works in it. Cool.
I was looking for like what Legends & Lattes did: The ENTIRE story is low-key drama happening IN the coffee shop.
In Baby Dragon Cafe this was not the case. And it really took me out of the story because it's not what I signed up for, considering the title!
Also, it got repetitive. And it's basically not much about the dragons but more a love story. Boooo, I needed more dragon shenanigans!
Gah I wish I could find a cozy fantasy that does NOT throw a romance in the mix. It just always takes over the whole story for me. or if it does have a romance, make it a secondary subtle piece of the story, leaning heavier on the fantasy side of things.
Wishful thinking.

This was such a warm, cozy book. I definitely want to visit and spend time in the cafe. The characters were relatable and there was just enough lore to keep things interesting, without it bogging down the story.
I love a MMC who can communicate, it does mean there is isn’t a ton of plot tension, and thankfully no third act break up.

The vibes of this book alone earned it the 3 stars. Did I think it could use some heavy editing, I did, but honestly the heartwarming nature of the story really won me over. And now I wish my town had a bunch of baby dragons running around, what could be cuter?
Saphira is living her dream of owning a cafe all her own, one that caters to baby dragons - but baby dragons are, well, chaotic, and to keep up with the damages she needs a little extra side hustle. Enter Aden and his baby dragon desperately in need of training.
It's predictable and sometimes I feel the author thinks perhaps her readers are a bit slow, there is a LOT of repetition, but I'll forgive that for the world she created.

I don't know why but this book just didn't really click for me. The plot was ok, the characters fine but the instalove felt cheesy and it felt as if things were very shallow. Plotpoints that were meant to be causing trouble were easily brushed over which made me care less than I should.
Also there were 2 narrators! Let them each play the male/female role in full instead of each narrating a chapter which includes both male/female pov.
