Exes & Ho Ho Hos is a standalone, second chance, holiday romantic comedy that is told in the first-person point of view of Jake and Kaitlyn.

Kaitlyn used to love Christmas until he parents died, she broke up with her boyfriend over a can of cranberry sauce and had to take over the family business of booking Santa's for Christmas parties. Kaitlyn ends up having to be Santa after half of her Santa's fell ill with food poisoning.

Jake never forgot the one who got away. Even after getting married, having a child and getting divorced. While at his daughter's Christmas party he recognizes Kaitlyn and vows that he is going to get her back and not let her go this time.

Exes & Ho Ho Hos was a sexy short Christmas story. Jake and Kaitlyn get their second chance at love, Kaitlyn finds Christmas again with the help of Jake and even the Berger twins, Zeus and Ares, make an appearance in the novel.

This was a fun read! It was quick and just a feel good story. Jake and Kaitlyn were together in college and had a ugly breakup but neither ever stopped loving the other. It's been 8 years since it happened and both people have changed. Jake gets his second chance when he runs into Kaitlyn and he isn't walking away from it. He's ready to make his move and show her the magic of Christmas again and how much he's changed. The sex is explicit and fits the story. I really liked the characters and just the fun vibe that went with it.

Exes & Ho Ho Hos by Pippa Grant – She taught him the meaning of Christmas before they broke each other’s hearts. Now it’s his turn to remind her about the magic of Christmas! Hilarious and darling! Happy Holiday Reading!

Great Christmas Story

This was my first by the author it was cute, sweet and hot!! It’s a short story that can be read quickly and it’s a second chance romance but done well and worth the read! I loved it and will have to check out more from them.

Meh

Quick read that I think was supposed to be funny but just wasn’t for me. Cute idea but too short to really enjoy but even if it were longer I don’t think i would have loved this one.

I thought this would be a cute Xmas book to read in between baking and cooking for tomorrow. It was not. One, the reason they broke up eight years prior was BEYOND childish. Two, he sure didn't wait long to move on by knocking up an OW and marrying her. Three, she falls right back into bed with him a couple of hours after seeing him for the first time in eight years. Instead of HOHOHO, this was BAH HUMBUG.

3.5 stars — I was worried I wouldn’t connect with the humour, because that happens a lot with really popular romantic comedies…I guess I just don’t always follow the masses with what I find funny. But I enjoyed it more than I expected! It definitely has a bit of an over the top feel, but it was balanced by a lot of heart, which is exactly what I want. That and a great Christmas feel, it was perfect to get into the spirit of things.

I thought both Kaitlyn and Jake were easy to connect with. I loved that we got to learn their history a bit at a time, and that you could understand how much they felt for one another, but you really got the idea that they just weren’t at the right time in their lives to work it out. Kaitlyn had a bit of a holier than thou attitude about Jake’s family business, but I could see it with her personality, and with that idealized college age. And I appreciated that the reasons for her losing her Christmas spirit was more than just their break up…I really felt for her.

Jake was pretty sweet. I loved how determined he was to connect with her again and show her how important she was to his life.

They had pretty good chemistry, though I didn’t get that into their steamy scenes. I just felt…disconnected? I don’t know. I’m also not huge on all the innuendos thrown in at every opportunity. *shrugs* But that’s just me.

I loved the few appearances by Zoe, she made me laugh so much. And I’m sure if I’d read other books by Ms. Grant, I would love the cameos by what are clearly other heroes…makes me curious about their stories…

So all in all a solid fun holiday romantic comedy.
