I understand this book is meant to be disturbing and the framing is meant to convey the lack of shame or remorse the main character has about her actions, but the way that it's written like smut as other users have mentioned is something I just can't get past. There is some commentary about youth, beauty, femininity, etc. but it is so heavy handed that it doesn't have much impact.

Not sure what this book is for.. it is disturbing, horrible and so unrealistically horny that it feels like reading porn flick at some point. mc is a succubus incarnate and at the end she managed to go scotch free and continued her criminal acts without any consequences. she doesn’t change, nothing change.. so feels a bit like wasting my time reading and feeling guilty for reading what went on inside her head. i don’t need to know this, nobody need to at all

Well, damn…this book is funny, horrifying and deeply disturbing. I had to walk away for a bit only to find the catharsis of justice waiting around the corner until, it turns out no. What a gut punch. I feel sick

This was not at all what I was expecting. I was hoping for something similar to “My Dark Vanessa”, but this was FAR more disturbing. We enter the absolutely sick and sinister mind of Celeste on her mission to satiate her sexual appetite with her students. I was so relieved when she was arrested, but it was clear that her image of a beautiful young woman shielded her from the punishment she actually deserved. Alissa Nutting did not hold back when painting the picture of a real life monster.
This book is hard to rate. The story is well paced and well written, but so sickening.
