I’m definitely motivated by just how horrible I found reading this book. I seriously hope not all white people are this way, lol!!!!!!! But yeah interesting ending and Kuang definitely achieved the discomfort she wants the reader to achieve. I hated it, hated it, because she did exactly what she wanted to do.

I know the point of this book is to have an unlikable character but I couldn’t STAND juniper. Kuang is a beautiful writer. This book just isn’t for me. Juniper pissed me off the whole book. AND she kept succeeding (for some reason?!?!?). I’ve heard that Kuang never writes happy endings but where it left off was infuriating. I had a hard time getting through it.
