The writing is absolutely beautiful, but I will never understand people calling the characters unlikeable, they are so aggressively bland and justified by the narrative it makes the whole book boring as a brick

First book I’ve read in a while. Read it bc I loved the cover, stayed for the story. Character driven stories are truly my favorites and i think I related to Cleo more than I should have. Although, Eleanor was by far the best person in this book. Everyone else felt very … unlikable.
