I really enjoyed this book. Loved the narrators. I also loved that Larks narrator actually sang instrad of just reading the lyrics it was a neat touch and just added to the vibes.

Also its a good thing that i dont like beer before this book otherwise it might have been ruined for me.

Can't wait for the third book. I have already preordered it.

Very quick read (or listen). I thought it did a good job tying together characters from this book and its predecessor, Butcher & Blackbird. The story felt pretty seamless. If you are not into detailed sex scenes, then this isn’t the book for you.

That last bonus chapter was 🔥🥵

This one just didn’t hit the mark for me. Unlike Butcher and Blackbird, I found Leather and Lark to be quite boring. The plot was confusing (and boring). I really didn’t care about the majority of the characters. Lachlan and Lark were just fine- but the majority of the secondary characters were completely forgettable (maybe except for Ethel).

Also unlike its predecessor, it really was not as sexy or dark and most of the romantic chemistry doesn’t actually pickup until two thirds of the way through.

And although I really enjoyed B&B’s audiobook performance, this just wasn’t the same. I’m sure many think Lachlan’s accent and pet names are sexy, but they were laughable to me. Lark’s singing gave me secondhand embarrassment and I cringed everytime someone laughed throughout the audiobook.

‘Twas a letdown for me!

The disclaimer on this one, again, did not deter me from reading. Pizza is not ruined for me. Grease messes up my stomach anyway.

Less sex, more wooing, less violent than the first book - and I enjoyed these changes. Theres a balance to be had, and this perfectly balances the themes and action from
Book 1. I’m quite excited to see what book 3 has in store for another favorite character I’ve been dying (haha!) to peek more at!
