Blacktop Wasteland was a really good book and I mostly enjoyed it, even if it’s not quite my kind of read. I don’t have a strong personal love for it, but I can absolutely see the appeal. It’s action-packed, fast-paced, and gritty. I’d definitely recommend it to the right reader.

S.A. Cosby has officially become that writer that I will immediately by his books. The MMC was facing some hard times while trying to stay strong for his family. His wife was very supportive, but was not happy when he was tapped to do “a job.” When shit hit the fan, the MMC was going to do what he needed to do to protect his family. My only gripe is I wish the was another chapter of epilogue. Some things happened with the MMC’s family and I feel there was no real closure. The book does not end on a cliffhanger, but it leaves room for discussion.

I honestly can't say I liked this book, but then I couldn't put it down either. I was torn between hoping for a good ending for Bug but realizing that he had done a lot of wrong.
