3.48 AVERAGE

If I could give this a 4.5/5 I would, it's very nearly perfect. The Batman Secret Files #1 drags the whole volume down a bit, being an anthology it's quality is mixed. Everything else was fantastic.

Main plot was pretty okay, Penguin seems to be working for Bane as Batman goes nuts trying to catch him. He goes all the way across Gotham kicking ass trying to find if it's true that Bane runs Arkham; but no one gives him the reason.

Secret Files was meh, and annual #3 is pretty lovely, it remarks the importance of Alfred not just as Bruce's right hand, but as a father.

I really just needed some followup to what happened to Dick in the last volume, but it isn't explored at all. Le sigh.

Reread: I had to reread this volume in preparation for volume 10 and now I remember why I didn’t remember it from the first go around. Each issue jumps to a different story thread and not much progresses the main plot of Bane. And like I mentioned before, there is no continuation of what happened to Dick. This feels like a bunch of random issues that probably tie in with other ongoing comics, but I don’t know which ones.

Like, Superman gave Batman kryptonite...
Thomas Wayne Batman shows up...
The Nature of Fear?
Where are all of these things going? And will I remember when they become relevant? Probably not.

This arc is good

This was ok but not great.

It was not the best but the art was pretty good.

This and as with all this series has just been forgettable for me.
