The Quarry Girls

Coming of age story as well as a murder mystery in a small town. Jess Lourey is the best at writing small town, Americana thrillers. The atmosphere is always perfect in her books and this one is no exception. The late 70s are alive and well . The story centers on 3 girls that go missing/are found dead and the secrets that the town holds. Overall, I felt this book was a look into a lot of women's lives growing up. I was a bit let down by the actual killers because it didn't feel fully developed in a way. I really did enjoy the book & would recommend.

wow!

This book had so many twists and turns! I truly thought I had it figured out, but the ending still shocked me (even if it was semi expected). Great book and likable characters.

Some twists take you by surprise and then some just make you incredibly sad.

Such a good story. Would have been 5☆ but the mystery was kind of predictable.

Very easy and quick read. The tunnels and the quarry’s were a great spooky backdrop for the story. I will say the twists were pretty easy to guess, but overall an enjoyable thriller/mystery read.
