The Price Of Scandal

I loved this book! The writing is so addictive. I was hooked right away. Emily is amazingly brilliant and yet so fragile and scared at the same time. I feel like she is so many women out there. Must be strong, Must put up walls to appear a certain way, Must conform, Must behave. And then MY HERO Derek shows up and he is all "You're Awesome! Be Awesome! Be your Awesome SELF!" I love him. New favorite book boyfriend!

This book is fantastic! I loved the supportive female network of friends and how women empowering this book is!!
Emily is a successful CEO who is a badass in the boardroom and an unapologetic nerd in the lab. Her enthusiasm in the lab scenes and that she mentors young girls interested in STEM warms my heart because I love the idea of a main character supporting future women in STEM.

It is a lovely and entertaining story in the fantastic Lucy Score style and I am so looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

I think I have found a new favourite series. "The Price of Scandal" definitely deserves 5 stars, because I am blown away and I didn't even realize that this was exactly what I wanted until I started this masterpiece. I can't stress enough how damn AMAZING it was and I want to dive into the next book right away to read more about Cam, Luna and Daisy - and of course revisit Emily and Derek.

Bluewater Billionaires is a refreshing series that brings something new and uplifting to the (mostly) same-old genre. Four female (!!!) billionaries and CEOs of their own respective company who are portrayed as women should be. They are successful, driven, smart, gorgeous and absolutely badass women who I LOVE so much. I have never wanted to be a part of a squad, or invited to a Drag Queen Brunch, as much as now. All four of them, Emily, Cam, Luna and Daisy, are so different and unique in their personalities, yet they have this amazing friendship everyone wants to have.
It doesn't hurt either that the men in the series are gorgeous, funny and swoon-worthy.

If you want to read a series where the tables have turned, where the women are the succesful ones - and portrayed rightly as they should be - you have definitely found the right one. It has everything: a heartwarming romance, scenes that will make you laugh out loud, friendship gold and the most amazing characters.

I love the idea of four different authors writing a series about hardworking and wonderful women in the same series - it will give the main characters their own voice, since every author has their own writing style and vision.

Brilliant! Funny, sweet, spicy perfection!

Don't let the boring cover fool you; this book is great! This was my first book by this author and I am very impressed! She gives her characters depth and it was SO funny. The characters feel mature, and clever and not forced. It wasn't too much spice, just a few scenes. The book is mostly plot, and in a good way. I thought I had the "bad guy" figured out, but the little plot twist got me. Also, there is a 3/4 kerfuffle, but not a break up. I would count it as low angst for the relationship. I am putting it on my "recommend" list and definitely reading more by her.

Another great Lucy creation.

I loved Emily and Derek's story! It was a great start to the Bluewater Billionaire's series. I enjoy Lucy's fun writing style. Emily was so human in her frailties, yet a kickbutt lady willing to do what it takes to salvage a terrible situation... and Derek. Oh man, what a crazy guy. Bathtime, anyone?

Light, fun read. I didn't love how the hero was introduced (Jane should have 100% tased him!) and I didn't love how clueless a billionaire boss babe could be, but the story moved along for me. Really liked the side characters and the funny situations they all found themselves in.

4 stars

Another great read from Ms. Score. I haven't read a book of hers yet that I haven't liked which is just plain awesome. Her writing is so fun, full of so much banter (texts and emails are always AMAZING), and just plain good. No matter if the subject matter is a billionaire executive or West Virginia small town Jill of all trades, she writes eloquently.

Derek is a fixer and Emily finds herself needing him to help fix her image. I like the reverse role of a common trope. Women can be successful billionaires too! Being the fixer doesn't make Derek meek or subservient. The opposite, really. He knows to spin everything, has sticky fingers, and is damn sexy. What more could you ask for?

And the text exchange between Derek and his family? I was laughing soooo hard. It was genius.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was waiting for this book's release and it did not disappoint. This is a really fantastic story with a strong, intense female lead and a swoon-worthy male lead, who is intrigued and enamoured rather than intimidated by her. The plot was riveting and fast-moving with excellent development of the ancillary characters (whose books I can't wait to read!). A stun-gun happy assistant, an unusually shaped housing development and quirky animals (that seemed like something out of a Pippa Grant) added the perfect amount of humour. There are so many other good things that could be said about this book, but I fear they would give away parts of a story that should be experienced without spoilers. Read this book!!

3.5. That is really my rating. I did love the characters. I loved the premise, but i struggled to feel the connection between the two main characters. I did love t he ending, and can't wait for the rest o the books. I'm also holding out hope that Jane gets a book.
