I think there are uneven elements to the plotting of the book, but at the end of it, I enjoyed it so much that I didn't mind them. Aru is a fun heroine and all of the supporting characters, mythological and otherwise, feel very real and age-appropriate. I loved getting glimpses of different aspects of Hindui mythology through this book, and am excited to learn more about some of the stories and figures referenced in this book.

When I first heard of the "Rick Riordan Presents" thing I was just so happy 'cause I've been a fan of Rick's book since I was a teenager and now we get a bunch of new authors with new mythologies and new stories... it was too good, and then Aru Shah happened and proved that, yeah readers, it indeed is too good.

Roshani Chokshi writes about a girl whose soul is a reencanation of a demigod from the Mahabharata, one of the two Sanskrit poems of ancient India. While reading, we dive in the hindu mythology with Aru, Mini and Boo, a really nice pigeon.

Aru is the kind of protagonist that I really enjoy, she is really funny and her sense of rumor is what made the book so great for me! And, being a child, she is almost fearless and has a wild imagination, I wish I was more like her when I was 12.

So, Aru Shah started the RRP project with praise. It's a really good book for kids, teens , young adults (like me) and old adults too! Can't wait for the movie

Took me a little bit to really get into it but this was so cute and charming!

AHH THIS WAS EVERYTHINGGGG. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE REST OF THE BOOKSSSS
