I find that the conclusion was something that needed some more work, just feel that there was a rush in tying up the ends. But other than that I loved the book and all the time travelling that came with it.
This was one of the rare occasions in which I felt satisfied at the end of a duology; Alexandra Bracken is a very unique writer who drives the plot in directions I would never be able to think up. Personally, I did like the first book better, just because this one felt a little disjointed and I sometimes got lost in the midst of all of the action, but I definitely still really enjoyed reading it and loved getting to see more of Etta and Nick’s stories. I would really recommend this book for anyone at all interested in reading about time travel or history! Alexandra Bracken has this wonderful premise behind the idea of time travel that ties together a lot of the loose ends that always come into the conversation when we try to discuss time travel and whether or not it would be possible to avoid paradoxes.

Passenger was good, but Wayfarer blew it out of the water.
Wayfarer was one of those books that you stay up until midnight to finish even though you said you’d go to bed by 10…..
The second book of the Passenger Duology was not as good as the first book but that’s just my opinion.
⚠️spoilers possible⚠️
In this sequel we follow Etta as she discovers more about her family after she was orphaned by time and ends up rescued by Julian Ironwood and taken to live with the thorns. There she discovers that the one and only Henry Hemlock is her father. We also get to follow Nicolas on his quest to get the astrolabe and frantically search for Etta.
I found this book to be slow at points and I was confused 60% of the time because opinions were changing all the time and I had no idea what was really the right side.
The reason I gave this book 3 stars was because of the last 100 pages. Those pages saved the whole book. It was very well written and I wasn’t able to put it down. The was the problem was solved was unique and I loved it. Etta and Nicholas as super cute together and that made it better as well. Overall Wayfarer By Alexandra Bracken was a decent book. That shows how powerful an ending can be.

This was a solid 2 start duology for me.
I will be picking up other books by this author. I honestly think just Time Travel is not for me. I do like Nickolas and Etta a lot and the rest of the character were all very interesting.

Wow! This book was so much better than the first one. The pacing in the first book was very slow, but in this book it was far better. I couldn't put it down.
It had a very satisfying ending.

Three stars based on the fact that the pacing was too slow for me to finish but still wanting to finish in the future.
... still... this was so slow that it's put me in a reading slump which I'm not very impressed by tbh
