The premise is really interesting and the story is decently entertaining. However, the characters are almost like an afterthought. The characters are inconsistently portrayed and subject to fundamental changes as it suits the needs of the narrative.

An interesting take on both a post-apocalyptic survival story and a murder mystery a la Agatha Christie. The pacing of the book was really great and made it a quick read. Satisfying ending with a lot to say about humanity at its best and worst.
