BL manga about two young men who are in the early stages of a relationship.

Volumes 2-3 are about them visiting the main character’s family he’s estranged from and staying with them long-term, dealing with rebuilding relationships with family members and the community and continuing to grow as a couple. I liked volumes 2-3 quite a bit more than volume 1 but didn’t love them.

This series is one I’ll probably continue to seek from the library in the future, and not one that I’ll buy to reread or pre-order to get the second it comes out.

3.5 stars.

Okay! I actually enjoyed this volume better. While the relationship between Shun and Mio doesn't really progress as much as I expected, readers get the opportunity to learn more about Shun's family. There is a striking difference between them as characters. Mio has lost both of his parents so he doesn't necessarily struggle with the rejection that Shun faces after his parents learn that he is gay. There is a character who appears in this volume that really reveals a lot of Shun's past. For me, it felt like we were getting a more realistic portrayal of a queer relationship. I still have some issues with the way that Mio approaches the relationship, but for the most part I definitely found the pacing and storyline in this installment to be better than the first.
