Updated review:
This was Still great! It Holds Up after 10+ years.

Earlier review:

I loved the selection series. I do realise it is basically the bachelor but the characters are great and there is more to the story. I love how the society is set up. Recommend!

3/5★

The second book of the series (follows The Selection). A teen drama romance adventure book, about a kingdom preparing its new prince/princess in the wake of uprisings and caste disruption. Cheesy, didn't love, so much going on but somehow bored while reading.

i feel like i probably should’ve left this series in the past and let the memories of my love for it continue to exist.

Honestly, pretty much every character annoys me, and not in the “they are just flawed like real humans are” way but in the, i find you so insufferable i would like nothing more than to skip ahead 5 chapters way.

America literally cannot understand the idea of how the selection works? lmao like she gets pissed whenever Maxon spends anytime with anyone else. ⚠️spoiler kind of?? And she is extremely hypocritical, like miss girl is seeing a side piece too.

ugh i just hope this last book will restore my faith in this series or else i will have wasted a few days of my life re reading it.
