A solid sequel

The rundown:
Avyln is now safe is another city... or is she? A mysterious guard holds the key to her past and her future but who can she trust? Relationships continue to develop with both of the love interests in her life and avyln continues to learn about her ability to immerse with technology can right the wrongs in her world... if she can survive that long,

The good:
The progression of the book makes sense. It has been less than a month since avyln first found out about her ability and her worlds corruption. The love triangle doesn’t feel forced and both characters are lovable yet different in a not annoying way

The bad:
Like with the first book, I really don’t have too much to complain about! I wish we knew more about avyln’s father and that relationship was given a bit more development but I understand the author shifting focus.

The hope:
With several characters “out of commission”, it will be interesting to see how the author keeps the plot line moving logically. I’m still not sure who I want avyln to end up with, if anybody! But I want her to get her happy ending, in a small town, with family who love her, and freedom.

I am so obsessed with this series. I love the characters, and was so happy to get to learn more about them and their backgrounds in the second book. IMMERSED was a lot more action-packed than CONFIGURED, which I didn’t mind at all, and I fell even more in love with Myer, if that were even possible! Also, I listened to the audiobook of this, and I have to say, I love the narrator. She has such a great voice for Avlyn. Dying for book 3 now!!

I need the conclusion of this amazing trilogy! It is just simply amazing! Sorry, but I don't know how plainly I can put it. You need to read this!

“Immersed” is the second book in the Configured trilogy. I read “Configured” a few months ago, and it was awesome, so I knew that I wanted to read the next book. “Immersed” was great. The book takes the reader on the continued journey of Avlyn Lark. In the story Avlyn has arrived in the city of New Philadelphia. She and her friends have to figure out how to hack into a government complex in order to save Humanity. The fun part is that Avlyn has certain abilities that allow her to hack much better than most people. I don't want to give too much away about this book, because if you haven't read the first one I don't want to ruin anything for you.

The character development in this book is great, and Avlyn and her friends are all very well-rounded as characters. Avlyn struggles with knowing who to trust throughout this book, and she has to make some big decisions about what to do based on who she feels she can trust.

This book is set in a futuristic setting where everyone has high tech gadgets, so that's fun. My only qualm with this book is that there is a love triangle starting to form, which I found a little unnecessary. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

This book is even better than the first was. There was nonstop action, heartbreak, and twists I did not see coming. The characters are great and the story grabs and holds your attention. I can't wait for the next book!
