No big surprises here other than some graphic sexual content at one point. Nice, safe story that serves as a distraction from the heavier books I've been reading.

i can't even tell you how many times this book made me lose my fricking mind. i was screaming and going absolutely feral over emily and simon and their sexual tension. the kissing scenes!!!!! all of them!!!! they made me feel some type of way ngl I felt like I was involuntarily arching my back reading them SDKFLJSA.

i don't have anything else to say lol. I'm starting the 2nd book like right now.

A perfect summer read that asks absolutely nothing of you whatsoever. Just a light fun little rom com set at a small town renaissance faire.

Wasn’t sure about this one, but glad I gave it a chance. Renaissance/history isn’t really my thing but reading this made me want to go to a Renaissance Fair! Emily is such a relatable character. I loved the relationships developed throughout the book between Emily’s sister, April, her niece, Cait, and Stacey. When Simon is introduced I was wandering why he’s so descant and cold to Emily. I loved the conclusion but it left me wanting more. Good thing there is a sequel.

3.5/5 but I’m feeling generous so 4 starts. This book was exactly what I needed. I was like for the enemies to lovers troupe, and that’s exactly what this was. I could really relate to the main character because she overthought EVERY interaction she had with the love interest.
