I absolutely love Lois Lowry’s books. I had never read “Gathering Blue” before. I love how Lois Lowry creates societies and builds characters that you can root for. I was not expecting the ending of this story, but I think it was perfect.

I enjoyed the story, but feel very confused as to how this is part of The Giver trilogy? Or maybe quartet? The jury is still out until I've read all of them.
